This transformation of a suburban home into light-filled, modern family space began with a young couples move from a compact victorian terrace. In search of more space, a drive and a generous garden for their children to grow into, the clients saw potential in 30 Hillside road but it needed reimagining.

SOLV replaced the existing garage with a two storey extension, accomodating two new bedrooms, a dedicated home office utility and ground floor shower room. At the rear, a cedar-clad extension opens into a spacious, flowing kitchen, dining and living area - designed for both busy family life and easy entertaining. Full-height sliding windows span the rear elevation, flooding the space with natural light and connecting seamlessly to a new deck and landscaped garden beyond.

A clean contemporary material palette and carefully considered details give this home a calm, modern character, while responding thoughtfully to the everyday needs of a growing family.
