From the first conversation to a home that works for you
I work closely with you throughout your project, providing a personal service built around your needs. From the first ideas through to design planning and construction, I'll guide you through the process, explain the options and keep you informed, so that you can make confident decisions along the way. My aim is to make the process straightforward, enjoyable and reassuring from start to finish.
My service follow the RIBA Plan of Work, providing a clear framework from the initial brief through to construction and completion.

Not always. Some projects can be carried out under Permitted Development whilst others will need planning permission or listed building consent. We’ll advise you on the best route and prepare all applications on your behalf.

Our fees depend on the size and complexity of your project. We provide a clear fee based proposal after the first consultation, so you know exactly what’s included before making any decisions.

Every project is different, but most follow a similar rhythm:
Concept and Design Development: 4-8 weeks
Planning: 8-12 weeks depending on the local authority.
Technical Design and Tender: 6-12 weeks
Construction: Varies depending on scale
We’ll give you a realistic timeline at the start so you know what to expect.

We don’t manage the build, but we can stay involved to administer the contract between you and the builder to oversee the build and ensure the design is delivered as planned. Some clients prefer us to stop after technical design, while others want full support right through to completion. The choice is yours.

Absolutely. We have experience working with heritage properties and understand the additional care, details and approvals required.
